Privacy policy
VibeCatter (vibecatter.com) is the personal site of Ihor Sokolov. This policy explains what the site stores when you visit it, write through the contact form, sign in or support the project on Patreon, and what you can do about it.
Contact form
When you send an enquiry, we store your name, the way you want to be answered (an email or another contact you give), the subject, your message and the language of the page. The enquiry is kept in the site database and forwarded to Ihor Sokolov through a Telegram bot so that he can reply quickly.
To stop spam, a one-way hash of your IP address is kept for about ten minutes. We keep enquiries as long as needed to answer and follow up, and delete them on request.
Site statistics
To keep the site working and safe we record page views with a random identifier of your browser tab, browser errors, clicks on support buttons, visits that came from tagged links, and technical data about requests (the page, the response and its time). These records hold no name, email or IP address. Raw records are kept for 90 days and daily totals for a year.
Our servers also keep technical logs for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and analytics
Browsing the public site sets no cookies of its own. Signing in sets two: a session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a short-lived one that protects the sign-in step for five minutes. Your cookie choice and the light or dark theme you pick are stored in your browser. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time in the cookie settings at the end of this page.
Patreon
Support is paid on Patreon under its own terms; we never see card details. For the VibeCatter campaign Patreon sends us each membership’s Patreon identifier, status, tier and monthly amount. We use them for the campaign figures: the support page shows totals, never names. If you sign in with Patreon, your membership is linked to your account so that your profile can show its level.
Accounts
You can sign in with Google, Apple, Telegram or Patreon. The account keeps your name, email and photo as that service provides them, the services you connected with the identifier each of them uses for you (never a password), and your sign-in sessions. It is used only to sign you in and to show your profile.
You can delete your account at any time in your profile: the account, its sign-in methods and sessions are removed at once, and your Patreon membership no longer points to you. A pledge itself stays on Patreon until you cancel it there.
Administrators sign in the same way with a second factor; their actions in the admin are recorded.
Former player accounts
Until 29 October 2026 the site had player accounts and browser games. The games moved to QRuma (qruma.app), which has its own privacy policy. Player accounts, match history and quiz packs were deleted from the site on that date; encrypted backups made before it may still contain them, and you can ask us to remove your data from them.
Legal basis and sharing
We process enquiries to answer the request you send, accounts to provide the account you asked for, and site statistics in our legitimate interest in running the site securely. Analytics runs on your consent.
We do not sell personal data. Data reaches only the services needed to run the site: the provider that hosts our server, the sign-in service you choose, Telegram for forwarding enquiries, Patreon for the campaign, and Google Analytics if you consent.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict its processing. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
VibeCatter is not meant for children under 14.
