How the numbers work
The series is staged. The numbers are not. This page explains where each figure comes from and what it does not mean
01
Statistics
- The War Room shows public channel statistics from the YouTube Data API and nothing else
- YouTube rounds public subscriber counts down to three significant figures. MrBeast’s count is therefore always approximate
- Statistics of channels the site does not own are kept in memory for at most an hour and are never written to a database
- A long history of another channel appears only with a licensed source whose terms allow it
- Forecasts are arithmetic on figures the visitor chooses. They are not promises
02
Money
- Patreon memberships and one-time crypto donations are counted separately, each from its own source
- A pledged monthly membership is not money received: received payments and active memberships are shown apart
- A shared goal adds sources only after currency conversion and refunds, and says whether it counts before or after fees
- Every funding goal says what the money is for, and its result is shown when it is done
- A supporter’s name is shown only if they choose so
- Crypto donations are being prepared and are not accepted yet
03
The story
- VibeCatter and AIrine are fictional characters. The rivalry with MrBeast is a parody and a benchmark, not a conflict with real people
- The technology in the episodes is real: it is built, measured and logged in the lab, including the failures
- The access screen on the home page is a joke, not an identity check or a consent form
